From 2026 onwards, the NordicCert certificates consist of a Certificate and a Certificate Annex (examples are available below). The Certificate contains product information and specifications for the material, P-class, performance requirements and results, photo (Type II markings only), and information about the testing conditions (application data, test field characteristics, meteorological data).
The Certificate Annex contains the information necessary to verify the identity of the material through laboratory analysis:
- Manufacturer’s declaration of constituents, verified by the initial type testing (ITT) of the material sample taken when the material was applied at the test field.
- IR spectra of the binder and of pigment and inorganic materials from the ITT.
Some important information about the product names of certified materials can be found here.
The Certificates have a validity period of two years and must then be renewed. Further information about the renewal process can be found here.
The Certificate Annexes are issued once and are valid provided that the material holds a valid NordicCert certificate.
The Certificate and the Certificate Annex are secured with an electronic seal through which the authenticity of the documents can be verified, see example below.
Lists of valid certificates are published on this website and can be found here for DK and here for FI-IS-NO-SE. The Certificates and the Certificate Annexes are distributed solely to the manufacturer (i.e. the certificate owner). They cannot be downloaded from this website and they cannot be obtained from NordicCert by e.g. road authorities, contractors or laboratories.
Certificate Annexes will be issued in March-June 2026 (expected), for all certificates that are valid in 2026.
From 2027, Certificate Annexes will be issued together with new Certificates. Certificate Annexes will also be issued upon certificate renewal, if it has not been issued previously.
Example of a Certificate
The Certificate has three pages: 1) Certification information page 1, 2) Certification information page 2 and 3) Electronic seal (see below).

Example of a Certificate Annex
The Certificate Annex has five pages: 1) Title page, 2) Manufacturer’s declaration of constituents, 3) IR spectrum of the binder(s), 4) IR spectrum of pigment and inorganic materials and 5) Electronic seal (see below).
